What is changing?

State Farm® announced that U.S. Bank will acquire State Farm Bank’s existing credit cards and deposit accounts, including checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposit. This change will occur beginning later this year, and is subject to regulatory approval. With this change, State Farm will no longer offer retail banking products through State Farm Bank.

Do I need to take any action as a result of this announcement?

No, you do not need to take any action as a result of this announcement. We intend to make the transition seamless so you can continue to access and use your credit cards and deposit accounts. At this time, there are no changes to the servicing of these or other State Farm Bank accounts, including mortgages, vehicle loans, and small business loans. We will provide you advance notice and details if there are any actions that need to be taken in the future. You can continue to access your accounts at statefarm.com®, through the State Farm Mobile app, or by calling us at 877 SF4-BANK (877-734-2265)(877-734-2265).

Does this announcement entail any changes to terms, conditions, interest rates, or other features of my account with State Farm Bank?

No, there will be no immediate changes to your account as a result of this announcement. Before we move credit card accounts and deposit accounts to U.S. Bank beginning later this year, we will provide you advance notice of any upcoming changes to your account or actions you may need to take. Throughout the process, you’ll continue to receive the same high-quality service you’ve come to expect.

When will State Farm move accounts to U.S. Bank and begin offering U.S. Bank products?

We are expecting these changes to begin rolling out later this year. We are working closely with U.S. Bank to determine exact details and timing. We’ll keep you up to speed with the information you need.

If I have a State Farm Bank checking account, savings account, money market savings account, or certificate of deposit, is it going to move to U.S. Bank?

Yes. Beginning later this year, we will move your account from State Farm Bank to U.S. Bank. Your account will remain fully available to you and FDIC-insured. It will also continue to be linked with your other State Farm policies and accounts following this change. You won’t need to take any action and you’ll continue to experience excellent customer service.

If I have a State Farm Bank credit card, will it move to U.S. Bank?

If I have a State Farm Bank vehicle loan, will it move to another bank?

No. Your vehicle loan will remain with the State Farm family of companies.

If I have a State Farm Bank mortgage, home equity loan, or home equity line of credit, will it move to another bank?

Yes. We anticipate that our State Farm Bank-branded home finance products—including mortgages, home equity loans, and home equity lines of credit—will move to another financial institution. We’ll send you any information you may need as we determine these arrangements.

Will this change affect my direct deposit or automatic bill pay?

There will be no immediate changes to your account and you don’t need to do anything differently than you do today. Before we move your accounts to U.S. Bank, we’ll provide you advance notice, and at this time, we do not anticipate any impact to your direct deposit or automatic bill pay arrangements.
